The Very First Cosplay Link

Description

Okay... no.  But he CERTAINLY reminds me of the first Cosplay Link.

I've already created a likeness of Tom Cruise as Jack in the movie "Legend" using DAZ3D and Renderosity.
Now, I wanted to see if I could actually DRAW & COLOR him using my new Copic markers (and a small few other media which I'll list after this).

Sure!  Copics are awesomesauce for manga and anime, but I've seen people draw photorealism using them, and I wanted to dive in with Copics attempting this same kind of thing.

Paper is a Copic Blending card, X-Press It paper.
Copics were used for 98% of this, plus the addition of the Blick Brush Markers (which are AWESOME), Windsor & Newtown Brush Markers, and one Prismacolor brush marker (for the other colors that I don't have).  <-- I mostly own flesh tones at this time.
Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils were used for a final touch up on the hair and shadows.
An Uniposca white pen was used in order to add the white strands of hair and highlights.
And FINALLY, Dr. Ph. Martin's Metallic Bombay India Ink - was used to create the shiny parts (which don't shine  :(  -- because scanners lack the ability to pick-up irredescent color).

ZERO postwork was done to this drawing.  You can even see the marker bleedthrough where I had my artist's tape.

This is so nice!! I love your shading and color technique!!

Since you're experimenting with new stuff lately, you should give Tombow markers a try! I started playing with them recently and they behave like watercolors, but have a dual tip (brush and pen) for a wider range of abilities. They're really fun and come in a ton of colors
